Muitas vezes, o sucesso da pesca ao achigã resume-se a pequenos ajustes que podemos fazer, quer seja a velocidade a que recuperamos a amostra, as cores, o som que emitem, etc.

Saber quando utilizar amostras mais barulhentas e quando utilizar amostras que façam pouco ou nenhum barulho poderá ser um factor que vai melhorar o número de capturas.

Mesmo dentro das amostras que emitem mais som, adequar o som poderá também ser um factor de sucesso.

Amostras ruidosas ou amostras silenciosas?

Quanto utilizar amostras barulhentas

Águas tapadas/turvas – os achigãs têm que conseguir encontrar a amostra para que a possam atacar. Neste tipo de águas, amostras com rattles internos, como jigs ou crankbaits, ou amostras de superfície que provoquem sons mais altos ajudarão o achigã a localizar a amostra mesmo sem que a consigam ver de início.

Vegetação densa – nestes casos pode-se adicionar rattles ás amostras/empates que se utilizam normalmente para pescar este tipo de coberturas. Pode utilizar-se um empate como o Doodle rig, ou inserir rattles no interior das amostras de vinil.

Provocar ataques por reflexo – quando os achigãs não se encontram a comer de forma activa, uma amostra barulhenta pode gerar alguns ataques. Um exemplo clássico são os buzzbaits. Fazem tanto barulho, que os achigãs maiores podem atacá-los com o intuito de os calar.

Quando utilizar amostras silenciosas

Águas claras/transparentes – os achigãs caçam principalmente utilizando a visão. Nestes casos deve optar-se por apresentações mais silenciosas e discretas, que se assemelhem o mais possível com os seres que os ahigãs costumam caçar nessas massas de água, visto que os achigãs irão conseguir ver bem as amostras. Swimbaits, jerkbaits ou worms de finesse são uma boa opção.

Massas de água com muita pressão de pesca – se uma massa de água for constantemente pescada por muitos pescadores, os achigãs começam a ficar mais desconfiados, podendo recusar-se a atacar todo o tipo de apresentações menos naturais, mesmo em águas tapadas/turvas.

Durante a passagem de uma frente fria, ou quando existe pouca actividade – sempre que a actividade é mínima, a melhor opção será utilizar amostras pequenas e silenciosas junto a coberturas. É por isso que uma shaky head com uma minhoca flutuante ou um jig de finesse são boas amostras nestas situações.

Ataques curtos – sempre que os achigãs fazem ataques curtos, mordendo as amostras, mas não as comendo, é sinal de que alguma coisa na nossa apresentação não está ao seu gosto. Seja a cor da amostras, ou o som que os rattles fazem, deve mudar-se para uma amostra semelhante mas de uma cor mais natural e sem rattles.
